Assisi on the Footsteps of St. Francis and Carlo Acutis

Assisi is famous for its association with St. Francis of Assisi and, more recently, Carlo Acutis. Both figures have had a profound impact on the Catholic Church and Assisi. During this tour, you will explore the magnificent Basilica of St. Francis, an imposing and world-famous church dedicated to the saint of Assisi. You will visit the upper and lower churches, paying special attention to the frescoes found in the upper church. After visiting the Basilica of St. Francis through the streets of the city, you will reach the Sanctuary of the Spoliation, where the body of Blessed Charles Acutis is kept. Due to the exposition of the remains of St. Francis, guided tours of the basilica will be suspended from February 15, 2026, to April 6, 2026.
