Sea to Summit | The Last Viking

Discover Bergen's Viking heritage on our Sea to Summit Tour, revealing the city's rich past and fascinating Norse legacy. While Bergen is known for its Hanseatic history, few know it was founded by a Viking king and once served as a royal seat. It’s also home to the world’s largest collection of ancient runes. Your adventure begins by the sea in Bergen's historic center, where Viking seafarers once walked. From there, journey to one of the city’s most iconic landmarks: Mount Ulriken, the first location in Bergen named by the Vikings. The tour includes roundtrip transportation with bus and cable car tickets for a seamless and comfortable ascent. At the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the city, fjords, and mountains—once navigated by Viking explorers. Explore hiking trails, try mountaintop activities, or enjoy lunch at your own pace. Open return tickets let you descend whenever you choose. This tour blends history, nature, and adventure for a deeper look at Bergen’s Viking roots.
