Bird Watching at private nature reserve, Mombacho.

At the foothills of the Mombacho Volcano, on the shores of the Granada islets, lies Hacienda "La Calera," which stands out for offering the only volcanic-origin lagoons in the area. From Hacienda La Calera at the foot of the Mombacho Volcano, passing through fields of plantains, cacao, and citrus fruits, as well as stretches of tropical dry forest. This hike, in harmony with nature, offers a place to observe a wide variety of bird species, flora, and fauna. We will also pass by thermal waters where you will have a chance to swim. Thermal waters are one of the main attractions of this location. These volcanic waters visibly emit steam and have a subtle sulfurous scent.
