The waters of Sri Lanka are home to an incredible range of marine creatures from massive blue whales all the way through to tiny creatures. Apart from being a haven for kite surfers; Kalpitiya is also a popular place for snorkeling, diving, and dolphin-watching excursions. It is made up of 14 islands; home to local fishing communities as the waters around Kalpitiya are thriving with marine life.

You can also meet pods of friendly Dolphins such as the Common dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso’s dolphins and striped dolphins as they playfully somersault and dance on the ocean waves. There’s also a good chance of seeing flying fish, turtle, manta rays and even sharks.

The horses we have are all Marwari, Sindhi and part breeds (mix of thoroughbred and Marwari/indigenous breeds) all of them have curly ears- which the indigenous horses of India (Marwari, Sindhi, Kathiawar, Spiti) horses are famous for! Riding along the beaches and back lands of Kalpitiya at sunset is definitely one of the unique and thrilling experiences while visiting Sri Lanka.
