4 Days Toraja Cultural Tour from Makassar: Tongkonan Houses to Toraja Funerals

Tana Toraja which lies in South Sulawesi known for its unique culture of varied funeral rituals, Tongkonan houses, ancient menhirs and Toraja hand weaving. You’ll be picked up from your hotel/airport in Makassar at 8 AM. Visit Kete Kesu, Marante and Pallawa Village to get a glimpse of Tongkonan houses - a traditional house of Toraja people. For sure you will visit the famous burial sites such as stone funeral burial, hanging graves, tree burials, burial cliffs, and cave burials. The most picturesque burials located in Lemo, Londa, Sangalla and Suaya. The places where you can see effigies of the dead called Tau Tau and the royal family tombs. Possibly witness a festive funeral in your private 4 days excursion.
