From Marrakech: 3-Day Sahara Desert Adventure to Fes, with Camels

Travel from Marrakech to Fez through Morocco’s most iconic landscapes. Visit the UNESCO-listed Aït Benhaddou kasbah and explore Ouarzazate and the rose valley of Kelaa Mgouna. Continue through the Dadès Valley along the “Road of 1,000 Kasbahs,” with stops in Tinghir and the Todgha Gorge to see dramatic canyon views, palm oases, and Berber villages. Head into the Sahara for a camel trek across golden dunes at sunset. Spend the night in a desert camp under the stars with a traditional dinner. Continue north through desert and mountain scenery and finish your journey in Fez.

Know Before You Go

• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• Tour runs from 7:00 AM (Day 1) to approximately 7:00 PM (Day 3) in Fes.
• Pickup details are shared via the Viator app and WhatsApp the day before departure. Please ensure your WhatsApp number is reachable.
• Medina riad guests may be assigned a nearby meeting point (5–10 minutes' walk) if vehicle access is restricted.
• Night 1: Hotel in Kelaa M'Gouna. Night 2: Standard or Deluxe Merzouga desert camp, depending on your selected option.
• Camel ride lasts approximately 45–60 minutes each way. Walking alongside the caravan is available if preferred.
• Desert temperatures vary: hot during summer and cold at night in winter. Pack suitable layers. Pack a small overnight bag for the desert camp. Main luggage remains safely stored in the vehicle.
• Lunch is included only with the lunch option. Otherwise, bring cash (EUR/MAD); lunch costs about €10–€13.
• Optional extras available on-site: Quad biking (from €40 per quad) and local guide (€2 per person).
