• Routes include biking on city streets alongside vehicle traffic, including stretches with and without designated bike lanes. During the summer and on weekends, traffic can be heavier, especially along the frontage road between Shell Beach and Avila Beach. Riders should be comfortable sharing the road and making turns across traffic when needed.
