Located approximately an hour and a half from Rio de Janeiro (100 km / 62 miles), the Serra dos Orgaos National Park was created in 1939, to protect the exceptional landscape and biodiversity of this stretch of Serra do Mar in the Mountain Region of Rio de Janeiro. It has excellent infrastructure and attractions for all tastes, from contemplation by the natural pool, light or the hardest trails that access the region’s high mountains, in a calm and peaceful location in the countryside of Rio.
Beautiful waterfalls with great swimming spots, such as the Poço Verde and preserved historical heritage in the headquarters, a chapel of 1713, a mansion of the 19th century, make this tour a great option to know the Mountainous Region of Rio de Janeiro.
