Sandwich harbour and Welwitschia Tour

Our Tour takes us onto the harsh gravel plains of the Namib Desert and we learn how Plants and animals have adapted to these hostile and harsh conditions. How plants and animals survive off the moisture off the Fog, the formation of the 400 million year old Moonlandscape and how the age old Welwitschia Plants grow. Welwitschia plants of up to 1500 years old can be seen Then we head south past Dune 7 into Walvisbay to the Ramsar wetland and lagoon area to view thousands of Flamingos and other waders, past the pink salt lakes along the shore onto the beautiful and stunning Sandwich Harbor dunes. • please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show
