Woodstock NY Rock and Roll Tour
Join us for a Woodstock music history walking tour and learn how this small Upstate NY village inspired the name for the 1969 festival, held 60 miles away. See sites and hear stories of Woodstock lore regarding Bob Dylan, the Band, Todd Rundgren, Jimi Hendrix and more. Learn about a little Woodstock history too, and how this town became a magnet for artists, musicians and eccentrics in this bucolic environment. Tours are offered on Saturdays at 2 PM and run a little over two hours with mostly flat walking. Tour meetup spot is at 59 Tinker Street (not to one confused with 59 Mill Hill Road, which is a laundromat.) Look for Peace, Love and Cupcakes/Happy Life Productions store. Free parking available across from the Colony music venue at 22 Rock City Road. Also note that the Woodstock Festival site in Bethel and the Band’s ‘Big Pink’ house are not included on the tour. Too far out man. Please try to arrive at 59 Tinker Street 15 minutes prior to the tour.
