ZOQUES Carnivals, Tradition, Celebration and lots of COLOR!

We introduce to you, two of the most representative Carnivals in the Zoque region of Chiapas. You choose one when you book. They are on different dates. 1. San Fernando - February 14th. Get your camera ready! 2. Coita - February 15th. The most colorful carnival in Chiapas! All the action takes place in the streets, and we'll mingle with the crowds. It's chaotic and intense. Not recommended for young children. We'll visit the Cohuinas (traditional houses) and witness ceremonies that make them unique. The experience is more than just visual: it becomes unforgettable thanks to my explanations of the roots of the customs and the legends you'll hear. This will give you a different perspective. It's not just a parade or a mask: there's a lot of history and faith behind it.
