Full Description

Day 1. Our company driver guide shall pick you from Entebbe International Airport arrival and proceed to the western part of Uganda near Rwanda and DR Congo border it takes 8-9 hours drive to your choice of accommodation in Mgahinga National Park, you will have a lunch break in the famous colonial city -Kabale. Dinner and overnight at Ikaze Hotel or Travelers Rest Hotel. Day 2. After breakfast you will go for the gorilla trekking in Mount Mgahinga, it may take between 2-6 hours depending on where the ranger guides allocated them. Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga is one of the Uganda safari highlights, bringing you the closest anyone can get to a habituated mountain gorilla family within a natural environment. Hiking up the volcanic slopes of Mgahinga National Park to find the mountain gorillas and spending one intense, uninterrupted hour with the gorillas in the bamboo jungle is one of those travel adventures every traveler should tick off their travel list. You will be required to go with face masks, raingear, hut, mosquito reparent, camera, jangle shoes and long sleeves. Then after coming back from the bush you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for you overnight at Kyahugye island or Keije Resort. Day 3. After breakfast you will visit among the 29 Island include the famous Punishment Island Akampene Island on Lake Bunyonyi is better known as "Punishment Island" given its history of unmarried pregnant girls being abandoned to their fate there by scandalized family members and villagers of the local Bakiga (people of the mountain) who lived in the area having arrived from Rwanda in the 17th and 18th centuries, though, as ever, the lads who get the girls pregnant in the first place went unpunished themselves, depend on your choice whether a dugout canoe or the motorboats are possible to be used. You can also visit the local traditional healers because its part of the package .Another night at Keije Resort. Day 4. After breakfast you will travel back to Entebbe International Airport for your evening departure back home and end the trip.
