Khor Virap, Azat Reservoir, Garni & Geghard Small-Group Day Trip

The tour begins at Khor Virap Monastery – with the most breathtaking views of the Biblical Mt. Ararat. Azat Reservoir – a hidden gem surrounded by the mesmerizing rolling hills of Yeranos Mountains. Next, the Pagan Temple of Garni - only standing Hellenistic pagan temple in the Caucasus Region, dating back to the first century AD - built as a temple to the sun god Mihr (Mithra). The Symphony of Stones is a stunning natural wonder, one of the most unique natural phenomenon in the world - created over millennia by volcanic activity and erosion. Geghard Monastery or Ayrivank is an important architectural, historical and religious sight in Armenia. Most of the monastery is carved inside a rock combined with architecture of 4th to 10th centuries of Armenian Renaissance. During the tour you will also have the opportunity to get acquainted with the sacred cultural practice of the traditional bread making ceremony - baking Lavash in the Armenian Tonir.
