Through this route we will visit the area of the breathtaking Asterousia Mountains. We start driving through the route of the vineyards of Crete. Our first stop is at Agios Thomas, a village at an altitude of 760 meters and with a history dating back to 1371 AD. Continuing our journey, we will cross the Messara valley, driving through olive groves before reaching the famous Monastery of Virgin Mary, Odigitria. Following a beautiful dirt road we will arrive at Matala, the village of southern Crete where the hippies lived in the 70s.
