The Caves ....Drogarati Cave and Melissani Lake

Learn about the cave’s geological formation as you walk through its atmospheric interior. Continue by coach to Melissani Lake, a unique underground lake illuminated by sunlight streaming through the open cave roof. Here, you will board a small traditional rowing boat for a short guided ride inside the lake, where the local boatman shares the mythology and history of this enchanting natural wonder. This brief boat crossing is the only boat experience included in the excursion. After visiting the caves, enjoy a scenic drive with a photo stop overlooking Myrtos Beach, one of Greece’s most iconic viewpoints. • For guests selecting a pick-up outside Argostoli, the additional transfer time to and from the starting point is not included in the tour duration and will be added to the overall experience.
• During the peak summer months of July and August, and especially on days when multiple cruise ships arrive at Argostoli Port, the caves can become extremely busy. This may result in longer waiting times and queues at the entrances, even with our best efforts to organize the visit efficiently and minimize delays.
