Full Day Ushuaia and Beagle Channel: A Unique Encounter with Penguins

The excursion starts at the Ushuaia Tourist Pier, from where we will travel by land through mountains, forests, and rivers to Puerto Almanza Once there, we will sail to Martillo Island to live a unique experience with Magellanic penguins and Papúa in their natural habitat. During approximately 40 minutes of spotting from the boat, we will be able to observe them very closely as they swim around the boat, offering us an exceptional opportunity to photograph them, appreciate their behavior, and enjoy a close encounter with the colony. He does not disembark on the island. We will return to the Port of Ushuaia, where you will have free time to have lunch. In the afternoon, we will meet again at the port to sail the Beagle Channel and discover its landscapes and fauna, including Wolf Island, Bird Island, and the emblematic Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse. A complete experience that combines landscapes, navigation, and encounters with the most emblematic wildlife of Tierra del Fuego.

• This service combines two independent excursions: 1. Beagle Channel Navigation: includes the entire navigation route and the activities detailed in the service description. 2. Penguin sighting on Martillo Island: the excursion also starts in the Port of Ushuaia, from where we will travel by land to Puerto Almanza. We will board a semi-rigid inflatable boat (gomón) to sail to Martillo Island and spot penguins from the boat. He does not disembark on the island. One of the excursions will take place in the morning and the other in the afternoon. However, the published schedules are estimates, as they depend on the availability of departures at the time of receiving each reservation. For this reason, once we receive your booking, we will confirm the available departures and send you the final itinerary, indicating the departure times from the Port of Ushuaia and the chronological order in which both excursions will take place.
• The first experience consists of a yacht navigation through the Beagle Channel, touring Wolf Island, Bird Island, and the emblematic Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse, enjoying a more personalized and nature-close navigation. The second excursion will take you by land to Puerto Almanza, from where you will board a zodiac to sail to the vicinity of Martillo Island, home to an important colony of Papuan and Magellanic penguins. Thanks to the semi-rigid boat you can get close to the coast to observe them from a privileged distance, always respecting their natural habitat. Both excursions are done separately and can be combined on the same day or on different days, depending on availability.
