• The wooden walkways at Cave of the Winds are rebuilt annually - removed each fall and rebuilt in the spring. In the winter months access is limited to the two permanent observation platforms, set further back to avoid falling ice, so the price is cheaper.
• For people travelling with very young children, there is a specific Cave of the Winds deck 150 feet from the falls where you just get a light misting.
• Precise opening and closing dates of the Hurricane Deck and Wooden Walkways at Cave of the Winds are subject to weather conditions. They are normally open Mid-May to Mid-October.
