The hot-air balloon gently takes you up in the air and floats wherever the morning winds may take you. During the ride, you have a stunning and far-reaching view of the great plains of the Serengeti. You can spot big herds of wildebeest and Big-5 right below you. At the right time of year and with a good amount of luck you might even be able to experience the great migration. The dry season (June to October) is the ideal time for a hot-air balloon safari. During the rainy months (March, April & May), some balloon rides are still available, but the actual flight is dependent on weather conditions. During heavy rains and/or winds the balloon, unfortunately, can’t take off.
