Here you’ll take a trip to the seaside town of Whitby once you arrive in the town you will have free time to explore historic town and enjoy the famous Fish and Chips. The first stop is Byland Abbey to visit the historic ruins, then onto the picture perfect village of Helmsley.

  • Please Note: From - 28th March- 25th April 2026 Due to ongoing repairs to the full railway line at Goathland, the planned train journey from Goathland to Whitby is not currently possible. Instead, the tour will now include a train ride from Pickering to Goathland. As a result of this, your return to York may be slightly later than originally scheduled, with an expected arrival time between 17:45 and 18:00.
  • Please note that the North York Moors Railway have a private event from June 11th-14th. On these days, our tours will include entrance to the iconic Whitby Abbey instead.
